Me Likey .....

Absolutely love this photograph from The Designers Guild website. I love the whole feel of the old country manor and the rosette on the cello. It reminds me of an old film, where the men would go out and hunt on horses, and the women would stay at the manor drinking tea and eating cakes.
Cole & Son is one of my favourite wallpaper companies. Even though they have been around for years, they always seem to surprise me with unique and beautiful designs.
I love this wallpaper by Zoffany. I love the chalky grey colour with the pastel blue and the imagery used in the paper is really interesting to look at. Even if you have looked at it 10 times, you still see something that you didn't notice before.
This Alexander Mcqueen dress worn by Sarah Jessica Parker is beautiful, I am looking forward to my third year so that I can experiment with print for fashion.
I love this advertising campaign for Chanel. Lily Allen looks looks fabulous, she's like a modern day Audrey Hepburn.

Happy New Year Everyone!
Im back at uni now and I am currently working on a project inspired by the trend Fable so stay tuned for more work.
I received a first for my previous module which was the fairground and British culture collection. I really enjoyed creating that one as i used beautiful inks and dyes which i think worked really well.
Hopefully I will have a similar success in my current module!

Chinoiserie 2010
Hi Everyone,
Here is my latest collection of work, inspired by Chinoiserie.
It has been an interesting journey, learning new skills and techniques, and finally seeing my imagery and designs come to life on fabric and through embellishment.
Above is one of my fashion embellishment designs, i used lots of luscious colours and fabrics, trying to create an luxurious feel.
To the right is my first drawing for my Chinoiserie project. I loved using the shimmering golds and the beautiful blues. Drawing this also taught me that taking your time and being patient, is worth it in the end.
To the left and below is my
final printed design.
As you can see i used
my first Chinoiserie
drawing in my final design.
I chose to use a blue in the final
design too, but went for a
stronger navy colour.
Hope you have enjoyed looking through a little of my first collection.
